We believe in young people and share the hope-filled message of Jesus with them.
UNIVERSITY
The Story So Far...
Young Life University is a branch of YLI that focuses on building relationships with university students, introducing them to Jesus, and helping them grow in their faith through friendship, community, and discipleship.
Our heart is to meet students where they are, create spaces where they feel known and welcomed, and invite them into a life of following Jesus.
In Belfast, we are actively engaged at both Queen’s University and Ulster University (Belfast campus). The team connects with students through:
One-on-one meetups and mentorship
Weekly Bible studies and small groups
Social gatherings and weekend retreats
Service projects and mission opportunities
There’s a growing community of students, both Christian and curious, exploring faith in a safe, relational setting.
Maynooth
As of May 2025, YL Uni has officially expanded to Maynooth University with the hire of our first staff person there.
This marks a new and exciting chapter: starting to gather students and communicate the good news of Jesus Christ across the city.
Our vision remains the same:
To walk alongside students, earn the right to be heard, and point them to the hope of the Gospel.

There are a few key ways you can get involved and be part of what God is doing among students in Belfast, Maynooth, and beyond:
1. Pray
We believe prayer is essential. You can support this ministry by praying.
